My name is Jayne and I am a mom, wife and registered nurse. I love taking care of people, especially my family. My priority is to provide a happy, cozy home for my entire family. A home that will always be our happy place. My 4 children are all grown. I have to keep reminding myself of that because I still feel the need to always take care of them and make sure our home always feels like their home. My awesome husband also has 4 grown children for a total of 8 kids!! Not to mention my son’s beautiful little girl who we all love, and our high energy puppy “Guiseppe.
I want our house to feel personal to our family and to always feel inviting and warm whenever anyone stops by. I am totally a clean freak and everything needs to be in it’s place, at least at days end. I watch all the home shows and love how the pros decorate and turn boring spaces into dream homes. I would love to have my home look like that, but I don’t have an endless bank account. For example; my house was built in 1990 and the kitchen cabinets are made of oak. They had the light oak stain with brass knobs and pulls. The kitchen looked so boring and outdated. Not to mention the green Formica counter tops. I had to pay for new counter tops because I knew full well I can’t install granite. The new granite looks amazing, but those boring oak cabinets made me cringe. So I received an estimate to have them repainted and thought I will work some extra shifts to pay for all the updates I want. The price for painting the cabinets ranged from $2500.00 to $5000.00!!! I started checking sites on pinterest and you tube and finally got the courage to do it myself. They turned out AWESOME. I can’t imagine a professional painter could have made them look better. The best thing is I spent right under $400.00 for the whole kitchen, and I had 44 pieces to paint. I’m not saying I didn’t have to put some hard work and time into it, but it was so worth it. It looks like a different kitchen.
