Remove Carpet Stains Naturally
Winter has barely begun and I am already disgusted by the stains on my carpet. It seems like I just can’t keep the carpet clean. My dog has his favorite spot on my lower step where he runs to after I let him inside. He also takes his toys and chews on them right on this same step, which just attracts all the dirt. I have an incredible, natural, DIY carpet stain removal recipe that works great. It works just as good, if not better than the commercial stain removers that are filled with chemicals and goodness knows what else!! It’s a great spot remover and it has removed any stain on my carpet. The great news is that you probably have all the ingredients in your home already!
All you need is 2 ingredients:
Distilled White Vinegar
The first thing you’ll want to do is just vacuum the area so you don’t have any loose dirt particles around. Then all you need is to cover the stain completely with baking soda and then pour vinegar over the baking soda. You will see how the mixture bubbles up and begins to breakdown the stain.
After the mixture drys, vacuum the baking soda and see how your stain has disappeared. The only draw back I find to this is that it really cleans the spot well and I have a very light colored carpet, so the spot where I removed the stain is cleaner than the rest of the area. But that usually evens out over a few days, although I should clean all my carpet. I’ll get around to that when this crazy winter is over! I hope this works for you. Be sure to follow my blog at http://www.dreamhomeforless.com and let me know how it works for you.
Have a great week and I’ll get back to with other inexpensive ways to keep your home your dream home for less!
